Nail art tips, how much do you know?
What if you don’t have to spend all your hard-earned money on a manicure in a salon? If you are behind a good nail art design, you can do it yourself in the comfort of your house. You can unleash the artist in you and not worry about a spoilt attempt. Because I totally understand how disastrous a failed nail art can look. Here are a few tips that you can use to transform your simple nails into something special for an occasion or simply because you want a change.
Be it a nail art with a minimalist approach or the ones that will be extravagant and shiny, you should have a good base first. You should put on the transparent base coat uniformly on all nails and let them dry. A good base will give the proper foundation for the rest of the design. It also keeps your nails healthy and the chemicals won’t seep in easily.
If you want to go for the zig-zag lines or stripes, use masking tape to do the job. Cut the tape longitudinally and in the thickness that you want. Paint your nails with the basic color first, stick the tape after that and then paint again with the color you want for your stripes. Ta-da! It’s done.
If you want some leopard print on your nails, you can use the old lacy socks or hand gloves in your cupboard. Get a small piece of them and put aside. Paint your nails with a base coat, followed by the first color – yellow. Then place the lacy material on your nails and paint with the color you want as spots.
If you want a heart or a perfect rectangle on your hands, you can use the stencils of your kid, siblings or neighbors. Take the stencil and draw the shape on the cardboard. Cut this cardboard with a central hollow part. Place it on your nail and paint with the color you want.
If you don’t want to use stencils, there is an alternative to draw the heart. Take a good paintbrush and dip it in the nail paint of your choice. Make three dots, closer to each other in the shape of a triangle. Join them such that they make a heart. This way, you will get a symmetrical and beautiful heart.
